Lobelia (Lobelia Inflata) can dilate the bronchiole tubes and is a potent relaxant for the central nervous system. Lobelia has been suggested for asthma, sore throats, coughs, emphysema, pneumonia, fever, and may be helpful in quitting smoking. We extract with the appropriate solvents, high alcohol if necessary; then concentrate by vacuum distillation.
