Valerian (Valeriana Officinalis) is an herb with nervine properties and has been suggested for insomnia, headaches, hyper excitability, hypertension, heart disease, after birth pains, anxiety, tension, stress, nervous stomach, palpitations, menstrual cramps and muscle spasms. We extract with the appropriate solvents, high alcohol if necessary; then concentrate by vacuum distillation.
